Oceanography is the study of all aspects of the ocean. Oceanography covers a wide range of topics. In this class students will learn how big the ocean really is and why it is so important to our planet. This will be a high energy, engaging class that will spark an interest in science or renew a flame that was already there.

Lesson 1: 
We will discuss the depth and length of the ocean and how the 5 zones of the ocean are different. 

Lesson 2: 
Students will learn why the ocean is salty. Where the salt comes from and how much salt the ocean contains.

Lesson 3:
Students will learn about some amazing ocean life. They will learn about animals they probably have never heard of or seen. They will also hear some interesting facts about animals that are commonly know . We will break down myths many believe about sharks.

Lesson 4:
Students will learn why the ocean is important to all of life and not just ocean animals. We will discuss what would happen if the oceans dried up. Students will learn how all of life is dependent upon the ocean.

To make this self paced class more interactive and fun each lesson there will be a quiz game with questions about the information taught in that lesson's video.
