Join in on this trip around the world's mythologies, themed around one of our favorite animals- cats. Watch as history unfolds in our class to link our present life with myths of the past. Together we will learn about how different cultures incorporated our household pets into their myths and legends, and see how these stories created some of the things we know or see in today's modern world. We will discuss Greek, Egyptian and Norse mythology as it relates to our feline friends, and talk...
By the end of this lesson, students will be familiar with three types of mythology as related through three, cat-themed stories. Students will be able to make connections with these mythologies by discussing parallels that we have in our modern world and how we can relate back to the ancient myths.
