This class a skill-based, supportive social class, and not therapy. Learners are encouraged to share their current or ongoing EF challenges, like working on mental flexibility and dealing with changes, managing feelings in a positive way (I always say in ways that won't 1) get you in trouble and 2) get you or others hurt), planning and prioritizing academic work, chores etc. I encourage learners to reach out to me directly in the chat if there is a challenge they have but are not sure if it's appropriate to share in the classroom (chat only goes to me), if it isn't, I will tell them it is not "outschool appropriate" and encourage them to share their concern with their support adults. I also let learners know that I will also reach out to their adults to make sure they're safe. I do let all learners know at the start of each class what "Outschool appropriate" is, with specific examples relating to EF challenges.

Scissors may be required for the 4th week in the emotional regulation month, adult supervision may be required.
