During this class, students will build on the information that they already know about horses and will venture into learning about the structure and inner workings of the hoof, farrier work, muscles, horse behavior and equipment, and then dive into reproduction and veterinary exams. Before entering this class, students are encouraged to have a basic foundation about equine science and encouraged to have completed the Equine Science: Building the Foundation course that is offered or one of similar material. This is a great course for students who are aspiring to be equine professionals, veterinarians or grow themselves in the horse industry.

Muscles & Internal Anatomy of Hoof
Students will dive into learning anatomical directional terms, muscle groups and design of the horse's hoof on the inside. Student will discover issues that can occur and correcting of those. Hand-out will be provided before the beginning of class. 45 分のオンラインライブレッスン

Genetic Diseases, 5 Panel, EIA
Students will discover the different diseases that are genetic and how they affect the horse. Students will identify the breeds that each disease is linked to and see the outlook of the disease. 45 分のオンラインライブレッスン

Understanding Horse Behavior
Horses are large animals, as we already know. Understanding horse behavior and body language is the goal of this lesson. Students will identify signs of changes in behavior and pinpoint each horse's emotion and thought. 45 分のオンラインライブレッスン

Horse Safety
Being able to understand horse behavior leads students to the next avenue which is horse safety. Students will learn safety measures that should be taken in account when working around horses. Horses help teach us the safety measures taken because of their behaviors. 45 分のオンラインライブレッスン

During this class, there are sometimes pictures relating to horse injuries or equine health concerns. With these pictures, there will be some blood and these pictures are used for students to greater understand the issue at hand with a horse's health. Do be mindful of this if your student is sensitive to blood.
受講の前提条件
It is encouraged that before taking this class, that student has taken the Equine Science: Building the Foundation course or something similar as, this class will be building from that foundation.

Throughout this class, I will provide hand-outs that will need to be printed out before class. These will be completed during class most of the time, occasionally they will need to be finished outside of class.

As an educator, I have an extensive background in the equine industry. I received my Associate of Applied Science in Equine Training & Management and have pursued a career as a riding instructor, horse trainer, barn manager and horse judge. Throughout my college degree, I have taken many equine courses including health, nutrition, reproduction, business, anatomy, physiology, and horsemanship. Horses have been a large part of my life for over fifteen years in which I have competed in western performance and ranch horse versatility events. I am prepared to teach this course!レビュー
