My informal assessments will focus on each child’s ability to stay engaged, follow instructions, and provide constructive feedback to their peers. I encourage a classroom atmosphere where children feel free to make mistakes and learn from them. Sensory activities like working with air-dry clay help children develop self-esteem, discipline, and problem-solving skills. I aim to help them build confidence and take pride in their creations, fostering an environment where artistic expression becomes a pathway to personal growth. Art allows us all to create what resonates with us, finding joy and satisfaction in the process.この文章は自動翻訳されています

Young artists (ages 7–12) will dive into the fundamentals of sculpting with super lightweight air-dry clay. Participants will create two or more unique characters or objects—whether animals, imaginative creatures, or everyday items—while exploring essential clay molding techniques. (One-time class) Students will receive step-by-step directions in shaping, detailing, and refining their designs, encouraging creativity and skill-building. Students will learn how to shape, mold, and refine their pieces, building confidence in hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and design principles. Students may call on me in the class for individualized support if needed. Materials Needed: Super lite air-dry clay (not modeling or polymer clay). Join us for a "one-time class" of creative play, sculpting techniques, and artistic expression—an ideal learning experience in a warm and supportive setting! Check my schedule for upcoming classes if you'd like to create with Epic Domain again.

受講に必要なもの
Parents will need to purchase Creative Kids Air Dry Clay (Amazon) or any other pre-colored brand. Make sure it's "super lite air dry" clay. Students may also want a few plastic tools (scalpel, spatula etc.) which can be found with modeling clay or polymer clay crafts. A plastic or silicon mat or some smooth, washable surface for them to work on would be helpful as well. Plastic spoons and knives work just as well too!

教師の専門知識と資格
As an Enrichment Program Director and SEL Art Instructor, I bring over 10 years of experience working with youth in after-school and summer programs. Through my 501(c)(3) nonprofit and LLC, I partner with local agencies to introduce children to various art mediums, using creative expression to teach Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and essential life skills.
My approach combines art and SEL to offer therapeutic, engaging experiences that help children process emotions and gain confidence. Holding a bachelor’s in Organizational Leadership, a bachelor’s level background in Interior Design and Art Theory/History, and a master’s in Social-Emotional Learning, I am passionate about guiding young people through self-discovery and resilience-building. There’s nothing quite like seeing a child realize they can do something they once thought impossible, transforming "I can't" into "I did!"
