In this ongoing English class, learners will have the opportunity to enhance their reading skills at the developing level. We will focus on a new story each week from Levels D-J of the Reading A-Z series, following the adventures of children, animals, and other fictional characters as they explore their everyday world. The stories will cover various topics such as family, home, school, the park, the zoo, friends, pets, and the store.

The course will include interactive activities, such as letter recognition, vocabulary review, comprehension, and writing exercises. Students will engage in various writing activities on the screen, while some will require paper, pencils, crayons, and markers at home. The class will be taught through slides, allowing students to see the content being presented clearly.

The objective of the course is to develop the students' reading comprehension and vocabulary while making reading an enjoyable experience. The course will include discussions on each story's events, exploring the student's curiosity, and relating what they have learned to their personal experiences.

The class will be taught by myself, an experienced teacher and I will ensure that students interact continuously with their classmates and myself through talking, writing, reading, and completing activities on the slides.

The course will cater to developing readers, focusing on phonics and decoding unfamiliar words, recognizing frequently read words by sight, and realizing the importance of reading for comprehension. The “text to support” readers' level works towards reading increasingly more lines of print per page, complex sentence structures, fewer repetitive patterns, and pictures that relate to the story.

The first four weeks of the course will address the following topics:
⭐Week of 3/10: My Neighborhood
⭐Week of 3/17: Buddy the Bear
⭐Week of 3/24: Getting Around the City
⭐Week of 3/31: Don't Eat That! 

After your learner's first 4 weeks of class participation, they will have developed the fundamental skills required to participate actively, read with fluency and they will have increased their vocabulary, comprehension, and writing skills. 

Overall, this class will provide an excellent foundation for learners who want to improve their reading skills and gain confidence in their ability to read.
