英語は怖くない: ウィークリー Y1 クラブ (イギリス Y1)

This is a Y1 English club to act as an aid for those studying the Year 1 British Syllabus. Lessons will not build upon any previous lesson and learners can feel free to subscribe/ unsubscribe from the lessons at any time. Club weekly schedule will be updated every 4 weeks.

In the next 4 weeks (05/05/2024-26/05/2024), we will:

⇢ Week of (05/05/2024): learn the unstressed vowel sound, also known as the schwa sound, /ə/, and recognise words that use it;
⇢ Week of (12/05/2024): be on holiday (no lesson scheduled - no subscription charge will be made);
⇢ Week of (19/05/2024): watch and read the story, 'Rumpelstiltskin', and complete respective comprehension activities;
⇢ Week of (26/05/2024): learn the short vowel sound, /e/, as in 'dress' and short vowel sound, /ʌ/, as in 'strut'.

Please ensure your child brings a webcam, paper and working pen to all lessons.

Please note that some classroom activities may require use of the Zoom 'annotation' and 'chat' features. For the best classroom experience, please ensure that your child knows how to use these features. 

The classroom can be a busy place. While I'll make every effort to ensure that your child feels included, it is important that your child can raise their hand when they feel that they need help. Before joining the class, please ensure that your child knows to use Zoom 'raise hand' and 'lower hand' features.
