Students will learn all the basic functional English writing skills required in adulthood.

Prior to the pandemic, I spent many years delivering English Functional Skills to young adults who were completing various Apprenticeships. This was part of the government initiative that provides that all students should have the key skills to function in the adult world and was aimed at students who had not attained any qualifications at school. A lot of students I taught had very low self-confidence in the subject and I was able to help them attain a L2 qualification (equivalent to a grade 4 pass at GCE level).
