週あたり 1-2 時間. As mentioned in the class description, several asynchronous (outside of class) learning opportunities will be suggested to help with review, gaining depth-of-knowledge, or for additional challenge. No learner should feel stressed about any aspect of this class, and I would never expect a learner to feel like they need to complete all of the suggested activities.テスト
Multiple assessment opportunities will be involved, including formative and more structured options. I will provide positive and supportive feedback, opportunities for improvement, and allow "notes" to be used. Any learner requesting a grade for the class should communicate this expectation as soon as possible.評価
If a learner would like a grade report for the class, I request that they complete the assessments offered. Two assessments are included and each allow for a reflective or challenge option. Corrections are allowed and formative assessment criteria is included when creating the grade report. A learner can achieve any grade they want.この文章は自動翻訳されています

Why should learners explore economics? Well, economics is all about the fact that individuals, businesses, and governments all have wants and needs. However, resources are limited (obviously). So... choices MUST be made. How and why these choices are made= real-world economics. No prior knowledge is required, and the age-range is flexible. This is an introductory class, so learners looking for a more advanced level should consider communicating with me before enrolling. This class is intended to provide learners with a real-world understanding of economic concepts. We will discuss a range of macro and microeconomic concepts and practice thinking like an economist. More importantly, learners will analyze how economic principles affect everyday life choices. I will provide multiple types of synchronous (in our “live” classes) and optional asynchronous learning opportunities that encourage learners to think outside-the-box and critically analyze economic concepts. The asynchronous activities (intended to be completed outside of our live classes) will be suggested for review, to provide more depth of knowledge, or for additional challenge. Examples of the optional, additional activities include: simulations, video clips, games, discussions, suggested readings, and other interactive learning opportunities. Schedule: Week 1: Introduction, Defining Economics & Misconceptions Week 2: Scarcity, Costs, Trade Offs, Benefits, Choices, Opportunity Cost & Incentives Week 3: Benefits, Choices, Opportunity Cost & Incentives continued Week 4: Supply, Demand & Production Cycle Week 5: Comparing Economic Systems Week 6: Inflation, Unemployment, & GDP Week 7: Inflation, Unemployment, & GDP continued Week 8: Trade & Comparisons Week 9: National Budgeting and Spending Week 10: Personal Finance *Please consider this a tentative schedule, which may be adjusted to meet the needs & interests of the enrolled learners. Other details: I believe learning should be fun and I strive to create inclusive and welcoming classes! I want all learners and parents to be 100% happy with the quality of all of my classes. Any concerns, questions, or ideas for improvement should be communicated asap, so that adjustments can be made accordingly. Outside of the scheduled face-to-face time, all other activities will be considered suggestions and be optional. Obviously, the more a learner engages with the course content, the more they will get out of the course. Communication between learners and parents, regarding the expectations for optional things, is important! *Please send me a message if you are interested in the class (but cannot find a section that meets your scheduling needs), if you need to request a discounted price or a sibling discount, or if you have any questions at all about this class or my teaching style or credentials.

受講に必要なもの
I will supply all of the materials required for this class. As an extended and completely optional part of the course- I recommend incorporating the book 'Freakonomics Revised and Expanded Edition' by Steven Levitt, 2020. A few (but not all) of the chapters will be included in the suggested/optional asynchronous activities, to allow learners to explore the economic concepts that we're discussing in unique and interesting ways! This book is listed on Amazon (as new) for around $13. A free link to a digital version of this resource will be included.
