Your child will be introduced to basic concepts that are the building blocks to learning how to read and understand language and mathematics. I am semi-retired, having spent my entire life teaching, caring for and loving little ones. Additionally, I taught Early Childhood Education at Labette Community College for 13 years. I received my Bachelors degree from Asbury University, and did graduate work at Pittsburg State University. I worked at the University of Kansas as a Project coordinator on early childhood projects and training for many years. I have taught here, at Outschool, since 2019.

An adult is encouraged to remain near their child, especially for the first few sessions, as the young one becomes familiar with the teacher and online learning. Having you nearby will help them to become more comfortable, which will increase their ability to learn in a new situation. I encourage parent feedback as we partner to help your child become excited about learning!
