The purpose for this course will be to teach the student about the E 3 Sentry Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft. The focus will be on both scientific and technological advances of this amazing aircraft in radar technology, on-board systems, and avionics. There will be an attached note taking document with pictures to help the student learn and retain the information in this course. There is also an informational video about the E 3 Sentry. The desire of the teacher is to engage the students with questions and dialogue to help them further learn the material and answer questions. There will be no assigned home work in this class and the teaching style will be lecture via power point material with a few questions asked of the students.

The learning goals are to help the student gain a deeper understanding of the E 3 Sentry AWACS plane, the advanced radar on-board, avionics, and the combat usage of this highly specialized plane in the United States Air Force. Also, discuss the advantages and usefulness of an airborne command and control system.
