In this class, students will learn basic drawing techniques and terminology including texturing, stippling, light & shadow and cross hatching, as they follow along with the teacher step-by-step to create their own art piece. Students are encouraged to engage with the class and teach by asking questions and sharing their progress. Recordings will be made available after each class for students to refer back to. Day 1: Still Life Drawing Shadows Day 2: Cross Hatching Day 3: Pointillism (Stippling) Day 4: Drawing Texture

I am an illustrator, artist, teacher, business owner, and a pug mom. I have a degree in Illustration, a visual art minor with 20 years of teaching experience. I believe that knowledge is power and the more you know the greater your influence can be. Learning should be fun and individual. Even when my students are looking at the same picture for painting class, their work is very individual and unique to them and I love that part of the creative process.
