In this course, we will talk about how to draw what you see, not what you think you see! Each lesson will cover one drawing method. Lesson 1: Blind contour drawing. Students will practice blind contour by drawing each other’s faces and some objects. Lesson 2: Continuous contour drawing. Students will practice this method by drawing a self-portrait. Lesson 3: Structural drawing. Students will practice this method by choosing some objects to draw in their home. Lesson 4: Gesture drawing....
Students will participate in exercises that will help them to: 1. Draw more accurately 2. Broaden their art-making toolset 3. Develop their own unique style
This class can be completed with a sharpened 2B pencil, a pen, and paper. The following supplies would be great to have: A sketchbook (any is fine, Moleskine is my favorite brand for a personal sketchbook) A set of graphite pencils ranging in hardness (for example, 6B to 5H) A kneaded eraser **if you have any art supply questions, feel free to ask!
