このクラスで学べること
Ms. Jackson tells a Folktale passed down since 1880, drawing the story as she is telling it. The name of the tale would give away the ending, so I won't share it here. Children use critical thinking to "figure out" the drawing as the story unfolds. Students are encouraged to copy the image onto their own paper as Ms. Jackson tells the story, which helps them follow the sequence, so that they can retell the story themselves after class is over!
学習到達目標
This story gets children to THINK while engaged in a fun activity. Students also have an opportunity to interact with the storyteller and mimic vocal and facial expression: early lessons for theatre.
