Students will learn to look at shape and value, and to draw the human figure as they see it.  They will learn art techniques that will help with whatever they choose to draw in the future.  Students will have the opportunity to share their artwork and receive feedback several times during class.  They will learn a bit of impressionism ideology and art history as we explore the work of Edgar Degas in France.  Learners can relax and enjoy practicing art and conversation skills and be empowered by improving in both.

Drawings may be finished after class if needed.  I post the source image in the classroom after each class so learners may refer to it as much as they like.  Learners can always post their artwork after class for additional comments from the teacher and other learners.
