Welcome to a fun and exciting journey into the world of Disney’s most infamous villains! In this course, we will explore the backstories, motivations, and unique characteristics of a different Disney villain each week. From the sea witch Ursula to the sinister Scar, we’ll discover what makes these characters so memorable—and what we can learn from their stories.

Each week, we’ll dive into a new villain’s world with fun interactive activities, creative discussions, and a chance to re-imagine their stories. Along the way, students will also explore important themes like choices, consequences, and empathy, all while having a blast!


Weekly Schedule:

September 27th:
Week 1: Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty)

• Who is Maleficent? Her origins and motivations.
• Activity: Design your own fairy-tale villain.
• Discussion: What makes someone a villain? How does Maleficent’s past shape her actions?

October 4th:
Week 2: Ursula (The Little Mermaid)

• The sea witch’s tricky deals and her complex relationship with Ariel.
• Activity: Create your own magical deal-making game.
• Discussion: Is Ursula just misunderstood? What drives her?

October 11th:
Week 3: Scar (The Lion King)

• Scar’s jealousy and hunger for power.
• Activity: Write a letter from Scar’s perspective explaining his actions.
• Discussion: How do jealousy and greed lead to Scar’s downfall?

October 18th:
Week 4: The Evil Queen (Snow White)

• Vanity and obsession: The Evil Queen’s quest for beauty.
• Activity: Create a mirror that gives compliments instead of criticism.
• Discussion: How do feelings of insecurity affect the Evil Queen’s choices?

October 25th:
Week 5: Jafar (Aladdin)

November 1st:
Week 6: Hades (Hercules)

November 8th:
Week 7: Cruella de Vil (101 Dalmatians)

• Cruella’s obsession with fashion and what it tells us about greed.

November 15th:
Week 8: Captain Hook (Peter Pan)

• The pirate’s rivalry with Peter Pan and his fear of growing old.

November 22nd:
Week 9: Dr. Facilier (The Princess and the Frog)

November 29th:
Week 10: Queen of Hearts (Alice in Wonderland)
