In this class dancers will learn new steps and routines. The routine will either be in the style of jazz or lyrical based on the song choice of the week. We will be dancing to popular Disney music from Disney movies and shows, current and past. Kids will love the upbeat energy and the familiarity of the music. This will help students learn rhythm and musicality. There will be clear instruction with points of pause and review to make sure each student is picking up and remembering the choreography being taught.

Be sure students have the space to move freely without bumping into larger items such as tables or chairs. Dancers can work on a hard surface or carpet. If dancing on hard floor ballet or jazz shoes are recommended but bare feet will be acceptable. If dancing on carpet ballet or jazz shoes, or socks. Always make sure your child has a water bottle or water easily and quickly accessible for water breaks.

Hi! I’m Alli!
I teach young dancers in jazz, ballet, and lyrical. My classes are for young children that love to move their bodies with music and find joy in movement as well as young dancers that want more focus on technique and choreography. Dance and fitness have been part of my life since I was very young. Starting out as a young dancer I grew up performing and competing. After high school, I taught and assisted with dance classes throughout college and continue to teach young dancers in different styles. I was classically trained in ballet and then fell in love with the freedom of movement in more contemporary styles when I was a young teen. I have found a new love for barre fitness and have been a certified teacher for four years. I love the way barre calls upon the strength and activation of the same muscles we are used to using in dance
