In this ongoing class, learners will develop essential skills like confidence, communication, and critical thinking while discussing and debating world news. Each week, we provide a custom list of age-appropriate, non-biased articles from credible sources, designed to present facts and help students distinguish opinion from evidence. Learners will explore current events, science discoveries, sports, and fun news while engaging in peer-led conversations. Our structured questions, interactive activities, and games like Kahoot encourage students to analyze information, share ideas, and respond respectfully to others' perspectives. This class empowers learners to build their voices, practice public speaking, and form thoughtful opinions about the world around them—all in a supportive, engaging environment. Weekly article review is encouraged but not required.
