The students will be introduced to the nursing profession and the different career paths available to them. The teacher will cover the following during class time: - Discuss the different types of nursing careers available - Explain the roles and responsibilities of RNs, LPNs, CNAs, nurse midwives, nurse practitioners, and nurse anesthetists - Highlight the opportunities available for nurses who are not interested in bedside nursing -The teacher will start by asking students about their interest in nursing and their prior knowledge or experience with nursing. Then, using PowerPoint, the teacher will review different types of nursing careers and the difference between RNS and LPNS. -The teacher will highlight each career's job responsibilities, daily tasks, and potential salary ranges here in the United States. -The teacher will conduct an engaging activity to assess students' learning at the end of class.
