Welcome! In this class students will discuss and critically examine the Latin meanings and "pseudo-Latin" meanings behind the SPELLS used in the Harry Potter books. This is meant to be a fun adventure to figure out the deeper meaning underneath the names of spells that J.K. Rowling chose to use in the books. I love Latin and the Greco-Roman world. I also have many years of experience teaching Ancient History and Latin to a range of ages and skills levels online and in a traditional classroom. I believe that learning should be a fun and engaging journey!
