Welcome to Digital Painting! This class is taught by a professional artist with a teaching background. Each week we will have a short lecture on the topic, followed by a demonstration. Students are encouraged to come with their basic sketches done so that the majority of their time can be spent painting and finishing their artworks. During the demonstration students can work on their own individual paintings while the teacher works. Topics are selected from a rotating list that will repeat after the last week is completed. The list of topics will always follow the specified order with the exception of major US Holidays that students may wish to create art for. 11/5: Character Design 11/12: Characters in Motion 11/19: Abstract Painting 11/26: Thanksgiving Break No Class 12/3: Theme/Prompt Week 12/10: Theme/Prompt Week 12/17: Still Life 12/24-12/31: Christmas Break No Class 1/7: Animals Week One: Landscapes/Nightscapes/Cityscapes Week Two: Limited Color Palettes Week Three: Dramatic Lighting Week Four: Theme/Prompt Week Week Five: Character Design Week Six: Characters in Motion Week Seven: Abstract Week Eight: Theme/Prompt Week Week Nine: Still Life Week Ten: Animals Week Eleven: Fanart Week Twelve: Theme/Prompt Week Week Thirteen: Portraits Week Fourteen: Figures Week Fifteen: Dragons/Monsters Week Sixteen: Theme/Prompt Week

My name is Ashley Kaye I am an artist with years of teaching in the public school system under my belt. I have built multiple art programs from the ground up and I believe that anyone can be an artist if they have the right training. In my years of teaching art I have seen timid students blossom into wonderful artists with the help of the right tools. There has never been a student that I couldn't teach, and I don't believe in giving up until we get it right.
