Digital Art: Graphic Design Exploration is a class designed to teach students the fundamentals of graphic design using a variety of different free programs. Each week, students will learn how to use a different program, including Canva, Inkscape, and Gimp. These programs are widely used in the industry and will give students a strong foundation in digital art. Canva is a browser based program. Inkscape and Gimp are downloadable programs that require a PC or Mac.

In addition to these programs, students will also have the opportunity to experiment with computer-generated AI art. On AI art day, the teacher will screenshare based on prompts that the students choose, allowing for a truly personalized learning experience. This day will give students an understanding of the potential of AI in the field of digital art.

Throughout the class, students will work on projects that will help them apply what they've learned. By the end of the class, students will have work showcasing their newfound skills to add to their portfolio.
