I have a Masters degree in Education from the University of South Florida. I have been working with students for decades. I have had experience teaching in the classroom from pre-school to high school. The majority of my classroom experience was spent in 2nd and 3rd grades. I love teaching students strong writing strategies. I have my ESOL certificate and have taught English to non-English speakers on line for several years. I teach reading, writing, language arts, social skills, public speaking classes, and ESL on line as well. I am a passionate, energetic educator that loves to inspire students to confidence, growth, and mastery.

Writers may occasionally have writing assignments to complete outside of class to enhance what they are learning in class.  Some students may need additional writing time outside of class if they are slower writers. Each student will receive ample support and encouragement in class.

In week 1, I will be referencing the following book titles as examples of figurative language:
Spoon
Thunder Rose
Muddy as a Duck Puddle
In week 2, I will be referencing parts of “Fireflies” by Julie Brinckloe as examples of effective use of descriptive Writing. 
Students will not need to have copies of any books for class.
