The students in this class are actively involved in their learning. They will study the core mechanics of Dungeons & Dragons by making "in-game" decisions. What's more, we'll stress the importance of teamwork as a means to success, both in the game and in everyday life. Week 1: Clash with Kobolds (Level 1) week of 12/26 Week 2: Battle of the Goblin Gang (Level 2) week of 1/2 Week 3: The Owlbear's Might! (Level 3) week of 1/9 Week 4: There be Werefolk (Level 4) week of 1/16 Week 5: Ready for the Yeti?! (Level 5) week of 1/23 - Work together to fight monsters and protect one another. You will use your wits, teamwork, and weapons to defeat monsters and make the land safe again. - Each week we will explore a difference monster from the world of Dungeons and Dragons. We'll work on problem solving, teamwork, and communication as we battle a new dangerous foe each week! - Knowledge of D&D rules is needed to ensure each learner has plenty of time on their turn. Expectations: At the start of each session, students should be prepared with their character sheets and dice. All of the students will fight alongside one another and help each other succeed in their goals. Attacking other players' characters or teammates in-game is strictly forbidden and may result in a ban from the session.

While I will keep the content age suitable, please keep in mind that there will be monsters, battle, and otherworldly magic. In the game, characters can die (but this will not be directly depicted). I am happy to make accommodations from parents based on what they believe their child is capable of handling.
