ダンス！ダンス！ダンス！

Each class will begin with a warm up and stretching. The warm up vary week to week depending on the type of dance being covered that day. Each class will incorporate two types of dance technique in the genres of ballet, contemporary, jazz and hip hop.

Class 1 will include ballet and jazz. Dancers will learn basic dance terminology and incorporate them into both styles. If dancers have ballet or jazz shoes they would be acceptable, as would socks or bare feet. Dancers will need some sturdy surface to act as a ballet barre.

Class 2 will include modern and hip hop. Dancers will learn how these two styles of dance have evolved from the styles of the prior class and will explore similarities and differences. Dancers should be barefoot for modern but need tennis shoes for hip hop.

Class 3 will include ballet and modern. Again, something will be needed to serve as a ballet barre. Dancers will learn and perform a routine based on the techniques previously learned.

Class 4 will include jazz and hip hop. This will be the most high energy of the classes. It will also allow the dancers to explore their own creativity as they will participate in choreographing the routine.
