Do you want a gorgeous, grown-up, cursive signature? This is the class for you! You do not need to already know any cursive, I will teach you the letters in your name individually first, practice them, and then you will learn to put them together. 

First, we will review the spelling of everyone’s preferred name and I will model the first capital letter. Each learner will then be able to practice, either using their own writing materials or annotating on the screen in the classroom. Then we will use the same procedure for the rest of the lowercase letters, practicing each one several times. We may not go in the order of the letters in each learner’s name, if there are students that share letters, we will practice those first! 

Finally, I will model the correct strokes to write each learner’s name in cursive and give everyone time to practice!

Learning cursive is an important skill, as many historical documents and original sources are written in cursive! This is the first step to reading cursive as well as writing it!
