ホリデーシーズンにかぎ針編みを楽しもう！上級初心者向けホリデーオーナメント冬季キャンプ

Does your upper-beginner level crocheter want to decorate your house for the holidays with fun and festive crocheted ornaments? Join me for this fun and engaging 5-day winter camp, where learners ages 8-12 will learn to make 4 different holiday ornaments. You will learn some crochet pattern abbreviations, the half double crochet and back loop half double crochet stitches, the magic ring, and the increase and invisible decrease. We will put these stitches into practice to make Christmas baubles, snowflakes, hats, and lightbulb ornaments. 

Learners will receive a written pattern after each class meeting (days 2-5).

This winter camp is intended for upper-beginner level learners. Learners should already know the chain, single crochet, and slip stitches before enrolling in this camp. There will be NO direct instruction for these stitches in this camp. 

I have been crocheting for over 30 years! My mother taught me how to crochet when I was a child, and I've never stopped. Crocheting is a wonderful way to release stress and anxiety, while being creative at the same time.

C O U R S E   C O N T E N T : 

Each class will follow this format: 
1. Introductions, get to know you activity (day 1 only, 5 minutes)
2. Show and tell for learners wanting to share their projects from the previous day (days 2-5, 5 minutes)
3. Lesson on the stitches used in this camp (day 1 only)
4. Lesson on the crochet holiday ornament of the day (days 2-5)

MATERIALS REQUIRED:

For this camp, learners will require:
✂️ 4 colours of yarn. I will be using red, green, and white/grey variegated yarn weight #4, and white yarn weight #1 for the snowflake pattern 
✂️ crochet hooks (size 2.5 mm and size 4.0-6.0 mm)
✂️ scissors
✂️ sewing needle with an eye large enough for your yarn 
✂️ fiber fill or other stuffing materials (I use yarn and fabric scraps)
✂️ 1 stitch marker (or a safety pin)
✂️ 1 fork to make a pompom

⭐️ 7+ years grades K-8 classroom teaching experience 
⭐️ Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) in good standing 
⭐️ Bachelor of Education, Primary/Junior Divisions
