In this class, we will investigate strange crimes from history, with an emphasis on understanding who committed them and why, how they were solved, and how they impacted the people around them. In the course of examining these strange crimes, we will use evidence from the scene including photographs, descriptions, & short segments of witness testimony to not only get into the minds of the people who experienced these events, but also to understand the historical context surrounding them....

I have been an Advanced Placement World & European History teacher at a traditional high school for thirteen years, and have taught history classes on Outschool since the spring of 2020. I have a wealth of experience working with students across a wide array of age ranges and backgrounds.
This course will discuss the committing of criminal acts, including murder. However, the course will focus on the historical context surrounding the events and will avoid graphic descriptions or depictions of killing or harm.
