NOTE: All of my classes have unique lessons - none of the material is repeated, so you may sign up for any of my classes without worrying about duplication. Teaching material and vocabulary words are only used again every 2 years to assure learners that they will always be taught something new. Learners will: • Increase their vocabulary by learning new words and definitions. • Expand their creative writing skills. • Write short stories and build their personal story notebooks. • Share their stories and practice their public speaking skills if they choose to do so. • Take part in their learning by submitting words or prompts if desired. • Make friends and feel comfortable and confident in our class.
I am a certified teacher and previously taught in a public school. I enjoy teaching and learning with the students. I am excited to help spark an interest for writing in my students.
Learners will need a pencil and paper for new words/definitions. They may choose to use a notebook to keep everything together if they would like. They may want a notebook for their stories and writings with a separate paper or notebook for their words/definitions - it is just personal preference.
