In this class, we will use Inkarnate, an online map-making tool that allows students to create and tell stories. This tool features fantasy themes, such as mythical creatures and magical landscapes, but contains no explicit content. Inkarnate is intended for users aged 13 and older, and when students create a free account, they will be asked to confirm their age. If they are under 13, parental consent will be required for them to use the platform. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

As long as the student feels comfortable navigating a website and using a mouse/trackpad, they'll be able to quickly grasp the basics of Inkarnate.

Device: A laptop, tablet, or desktop computer with internet access. Students will need to have three tabs open: the Zoom call, the Nearpod lesson, and Inkarnate. If possible, I recommend using a separate device for the Zoom call to ensure smoother navigation. Inkarnate Account: A free account on Inkarnate (please set this up before the session). Drawing Supplies (Optional): Pencil and paper for sketching ideas or planning before using Inkarnate. Notepad: For taking notes and jotting down ideas or feedback.
