コミックを作成する

Does your learner like to read comic books or enjoy drawing stories? This one time class is a great introduction to making a comic strip-style story.

I will model how I used a few toys to come up with a story idea and then how I created a simple comic strip using pictures and words.  We will look at a few examples of comics to notice how they use word bubbles and often include words for sound effects.  Then we will spend the rest of the class getting started on our own comic strip stories.  

The goal is not to complete a finished product by the end of the class, but for children to get started on this process together, and to ignite an interest in creating their own comic strip stories at home.  When children naturally bring their literacy development into their play, they can grow into more confident readers and writers over time.

This class is designed for children with a range of literacy skills.  The way each child engages with the activities in this class will depend on their stage of literacy development (they may be drawing, writing letters, words, and/or sentences).
