In this one-time class, students will learn the fundamentals of writing a strong thesis statement—a key skill for crafting well-organized and persuasive essays. We'll start by discussing what a thesis statement is and why it's crucial for guiding an essay. Then, we'll dive into identifying main arguments, narrowing down topics, and creating a clear, concise thesis that sets the stage for strong writing. Throughout the session, students will engage in hands-on activities, including brainstorming, peer review, and crafting their own thesis statements.
