IMPORTANT INFORMATION: **I teach classes with my baby in the room or by wearing baby. Baby may be seen or heard at times during class.** **Learners should know their letter sounds and have some basic reading skills for this class.** In this five day class, learners will be learning the sounds of these consonant blends: bl, br, cl, cr, dr, fr, tr, fl, gl, gr, pl, pr, sl, sm, sp, st, sc, sk, and sn. Once they learn the sound, we will look at words that have these blends at the beginning. Learners will read a few short sentences that have the blends in them. We will also have two days full of fun activities to continue learning our blends. Each day, we will review the blends we have already learned. Day 1: Blends with l: bl, cl, fl, gl, pl, and sl Day 2: Blends with r: br, cr, dr, fr, tr, gr, and pr Day 3: Activity Day! (L and R Blends) Day 4: Blends starting with s: sm, sp, st, sc, sk, and sn Day 5: Activity Day! (S Blends) **Supplies for the activity days will be sent out through the classroom the day before and will need to be printed off before that class. Please keep your eye out for those supplies, so your learner can enjoy the activities with us.**

My name is Mrs. Makenna! I love all things math, phonics, reading and sensory play. I even like some science and geography. I taught in the classroom before I started moving around the country with my husband’s job. We love to travel and explore new places. I have been all over the United States and Central America.
My passion is working with children, and I have missed being in the classroom. However, online teaching has been just as fun! I have had the pleasure of working with some learners for several years and have seen so much growth in them. I can’t wait to watch your learner(s) grow, too.
