このクラスで学べること

*Are you tired of your mom yelling and nagging to clean up your room? I can help! If you use the organizational techniques you will learn in this class, you can forget about getting yelled at to keep that room clean!
*Do you have a hard time letting go of things you don't play with anymore? I can help! In this class, we will learn how to let go of things we don't need or play with anymore. An important part of organizing is to declutter.
*We will learn how our messy bedrooms affect our well being. Being disorganized causes anxiety, stress, and affects other areas of our lives.
*When our bedrooms are organized we can spend WAY more time on fun than on cleaning!

In this course we will learn the 5 steps to organizing our bedrooms in a very simple step by step explanation along with visuals and reasons why each step is important. (Take out what does not belong, sort, let go, organize, and maintain.) I will help students make a connection between stress and anxiety and having too much stuff as well as the importance of letting go of things we no longer use. After class I will attach a short guide of the 5 steps to organizing we will discuss in class for students and parents to reference back to. We will also discuss some easy and quick daily actions we can do to keep our bedroom clean.

Although the information presented is not complicated, I have learned as a parent myself that sometimes it is easier for children to hear from someone other than the adult in their life why it is important to keep their bedrooms clean, why it is important to let old or unused items go, and how to maintain a clean room.

***Organizing and cleaning your bedroom is not a super fun topic but I am a firm believer that being organized is the key to being successful in life! Very few people are born with organizational skills but these life changing skills can and should be learned. I use PowerPoint to teach the class, try to incorporate humor, ask kids to participate in discussion, and show a few real life examples to keep kids engaged!***

Being organized and having good time management skills go hand in hand. I would highly recommend taking my class "Simple Strategies for Learning Time Management" after this course!

(Note about missed classes: This class is always full, therefore I do not do transfers for a missed class. I will refer you to watch the recording or sign up for another class. However, if you let me know you have a schedule conflict at least an hour before class starts I will gladly transfer you to a different class.)
