コミュニケーションスキル - 自信を持ってコミュニケーションする。

In my career spanning 3 decades, I have seen children struggling to hold a conversation and come up with the right answers, ask questions, be assertive, make eye contact, and most importantly, listen well. 
In this series of classes, I will address all these topics and prepare children to be better communicators. They will learn that relationships greatly depend on how effectively we communicate. I will share stories and anecdotes from my life and the challenges I faced and overcame on each of the topics listed. Every child will be engaged and encouraged to participate in role plays and activities. If your child needs any extra attention, please let me know.
This is a small, group class based solely on discussions and activities. To make the optimum usage of time, I prefer teacher-learner interaction and peer to peer interaction.

Week of May 18 - The Art of beginning and finishing a conversation - The importance of first and last impressions.

Week of June 1- Assertive Communication - When the going gets tough, the tough get assertive.
Week of June 8- Questioning Skills - Types of questions and the answers they elicit that give you more knowledge and insight.
Week of - June 15- Do we agree? We may agree to disagree. Conflict resolution.
Week of - June 22 - Deliver a speech with confidence- The power of Public Speaking.
Week of - June 29- Non verbal and visual communication.
Week of - July 6 - Team building and team work.
Week of July 13 - Negotiation Skills.
Week of July 20 - Communication pointers

Week of August 3- Basics of Debating and handling rebuttals
Week of August 10 - Basics of Debating and handling rebuttals.

My class is interactive; it is structured to be engaging and collaborative. Learners will be sent a one page handout at least 24 hours before class so they know what they will learn the following day.
Teaching methodology is activity based, followed by discussions and feedback.
I do not use breakout rooms.

Duration of each Class - 40 minutes. ( I may go beyond by a few minutes). Please let me know if your child needs to leave on time.
Introduction and Agenda of the session -  5 minutes.
Activities with feedback - 30 minutes
Takeaway of Learning - 5 minutes

Class Rules :This is an interactive class on Communication skills; hence, children are expected to keep their cameras turned on, at all times, during the class. To get the full benefit of the class, I suggest children read the handout before entering class.
I do not offer makeup classes; if the child misses a class please let me know and I shall share the recording, from the second class onwards, only if all learners are verified.

Refund / Transfer policy:

As per Outschool policy, there will be no refund/rescheduling for missed classes. I will be happy to transfer/ reschedule the student if intimated at least 24 hours in advance, as I might not be able to fill the vacant spot on a shorter notice. This would translate to one student claiming 2 spots.
