私と一緒に読んでみましょう！

Come join me and make reading fun and easy for your student.  Set aside 20 minutes daily or weekly for us to come together and read! Reading helps will all subject areas. The only way to improve any skill is by reading. 

We will use a book of your students choosing. I will informally check for fluency, decoding, blending ability and overall comprehension. I use a variety of strategies I have learned in my 23 years of teaching experience. This is a natural flow, which will feel natural within the reading. 

This independent time will allow students to build confidence in reading while closing reading gaps. 

It is recommended that you upload the piece your reading your child will be reading (if short) or identify the piece so that the teacher can acquire a copy of the novel. This will allow me to follow along and help students with reading strategies. 

This class will use 20 minutes of reading and 5 minutes of comprehension check. Parents will be made aware of challenges and successes a long the way!
