 A color wheel will be studied in this lesson. Students will have the opportunity to explore color variations and combining colors. Techniques in this lesson will include:
Color selection
Gradients
Color for moods 

 In this lesson, students will become familiar with shading and learning techniques such as:
Colors for shading
Strokes for shading
Light angles
Shading placement
Creating a sphere using light and shading 

 This lesson is about layering with colored pencil. We will explore the importance of creating layers and the proper methods of doing so without damaging the paper or hindering effective blending later in a project. We will practice using our knowledge of colors to select and layer colors to gain a desired result. Students will be guided to create several different tones through layering a variety of colors.
