With each tutoring session you'll get to the next stage in the writing process, no matter where you're starting off.  Session focuses might include any of the following: what is a college application essay; inspiration for topics; how to push through writer's block; how to show rather than tell with details and description; how to organize a personal essay in a clear, unique, and compelling way; how to have meaning in an essay and show that meaning through the story; how to grab a reader and keep their attention throughout; how to write an interesting sentence for an important moment in the essay; and how to tell a great story.

I've been teaching for over 20 years and have taken over 1000 students through the process of writing a personal essay.  I've learned what helps students to write a great essay that sends their message to the world.
