Welcome families! In this 3rd grade reading summer review, we are focusing on preparing for 4th grade by going over key word work and comprehension skills. Prevent summer slide with summer school lessons! Each class, we will use activities like interactive slides (Nearpod), word games, and engaging texts to review key concepts from 3rd grade. Each week there will be a fun focus theme that we will use in each lesson, too! Weekly themes include: Beach Week, Volcano Week, Arctic Week, and Dinosaur Week. We will meet twice each week, for a total of 1 hour, to work on the week's skills and concepts. I will also provide a short independent practice activity between the week's lessons to give learners an opportunity to show their understanding. I look forward to meeting and working with your learner this summer!
