Harriet Tubman is a leadership coach for young learners. Harriet Tubman is well known for her heroic efforts to free people from slavery in the United States by way of the Underground Railroad. Learners will travel back in time to 1912 to sit and visit Aunt Harriet, the 92-year old version of Harriet Tubman, telling her stories. Learners will hear what motivated Harriet Tubman to return to the South after freeing herself to rescue members of her family from slavery. An interactive program with an open discussion between learners and Aunt Harriet. Through learning about the struggles and obstacles that Harriet Tubman overcame, learners will discover her love, compassion, determination, creativity, critical thinking, and communication skills that made her who she was, a great leader who left a legacy. This program is about being empowered and inspired to be like Harriet Tubman, a person that demonstrates the "Power Of One". Vocabulary includes terms about this era of United States history and leadership traits. Teams of learners in breakout rooms work together to solve word puzzles. There are stories included that express the cruel realities of slavery, faith in God, and how service to family, community, and country is strong leadership, and the legacy lessons we can learn from Harriet Tubman. This is an introductory program to the Harriet Tubman Lessons in Love, Leadership, and Legacy series of classes based on my book. "30 Lessons in Love, Leadership, and Legacy from Harriet Tubman."

教師の専門知識と資格
I have been sharing the stories about Harriet Tubman and her life as a slave for over 25 years. When discussing slavery, it is done as part of the true history of Harriet Tubman's life. Her triumph over the bondage of being a slave is what is emphasized in this program.
