週あたり 1-2 時間. Assignments will include quizzes, short answer role play scenarios, essays, and creative writing. Students will also be given the opportunity to create videos and/or art for extra credit (and extra house points!). Please see the syllabus for a breakdown of the assignments and extra credit offered each week. All assignments will be submitted through Google Forms and Outschool. Students are not required to have an email to submit assignments; however, it is important that they include their name accurately (as it appears on Outschool) on each Google Forms assignment. Assignments may be typed or (legibly) handwritten. Warning: If I cannot read the handwriting, I will be unable to provide feedback and may request a rewrite. Most assignments also allow for alternative expressions of knowledge, such as artwork or video. Parents may opt their student out of any assignments - just send me a message! This class is meant to be flexible; therefore, although work is meant to be submitted weekly, there are not strict deadlines. Please send me a private message if additional time or resources are needed at any time throughout the course.テスト
Students will receive percentage grades and feedback for each assignment (quizzes and projects). They will receive house points based on their percentage grades (for example, if the assignment is worth 10 house points, then: 100% = 10 points, 90-99% = 9 points, 80-89% = 8 points, etc.), and extra credit house points may be awarded based on creativity and completion of extra credit assignments. Note: house points are just for fun/bragging purposes; this class does not have a "currency" system. *Parents may opt their student out of assessments; parents may also request a more detailed analysis of their student's performance at the end of the course.評価
At the end of the course, students will receive a percentage and one of the following final letter grades: Outstanding (O) Exceeds Expectations (E) Acceptable (A) *Parents may opt their student out of grades and/or house points; parents may also request a more detailed analysis of their student's performance at the end of the course.この文章は自動翻訳されています

Have you accepted your letter? Then it's time to attend class! Learn spells, complete assignments, and earn house points in this realistic, immersive Online School of Witchcraft and Wizardry role play inspired by Hogwarts / Harry Potter. In Charms, Year 1, students will learn the basics of spellcasting. We will learn about essential wizarding laws, wandlore, and the fundamental components of spells. Throughout the course, we will cover various beginner spells that all witches and wizards should know such as Lumos, Reparo, Wingardium Leviosa, and many more! Lessons will be taught through mixed media slide presentations, and assignments will include quizzes, short answer role play scenarios, essays, and creative writing. Students will also be given the opportunity to create videos and/or art for extra credit (and extra house points!). Students will be graded and awarded points based on their performance on assignments as well as their creativity. By default, students will be evaluated and given feedback on their writing, including grammar and spelling, in addition to the course content--this is optional and may be omitted at the parent's discretion. Note: Although the course is based on Harry Potter lore, students do not need to have read the Harry Potter books nor even to have watched the movies. Please see the syllabus for a detailed breakdown of each week and lesson; we have a lot of fun things to cover! I am excited to make magic with you!

In this class, we will be casting fictional spells. Some of these spells can be considered "dangerous" such as Incendio, The Fire-Making Charm. It is important that your student has a clear understanding that our spell-casting is 100% fictional, for fun and role playing purposes ONLY. They should not try to recreate the magical effects in real life!
