Are you ready to start your own business and build a impactful website? In this class, you’ll brainstorm ideas for a business and learn how to design a fully-functional professional website. I will also be teaching you how to pitch your product/business confidently and effectively - whether to investors, customers, or even family.

Students are welcome to continue working on their websites after class and message me questions. 

Please note: we use a free web development software (either Wix or Shopify depending on age distribution). There are fees associated with the premium plan but upgrading to the premium plan is not necessary for this class. 

I have founded and run a software consultancy for 5 years and worked at and advised multiple startups in the Silicon Valley. I've been teaching this class in-person for a few years now.

Businesses launched by past students include: a leather goods online store, a website for a science fair website, made-to-order cupcakes, dog walking with an online booking form, a digital comic book, a fashion blog, a gardening blog, a personal ‘about me’ website and a resume website.

Class 1: Brainstorming ideas and understanding target market, demographics etc. Students finalize their business idea and setup a basic template for their website.

Class 2 - 4: Designing and building our websites! No coding knowledge is required. I will teach students everything they need to know to build great websites. Students work 1-on-1 with me on their website. 
- UX and UI principles. 
- Design a logo, header navigation, product mock-ups 
- Picking a color scheme, theme and font family.
- How to design graphics and optimize images for our websites. 
- Optimizing, refining and launching our websites!

Class 5 and 6: 
- I just got my first customer, now what?
- How to handle sales and offer excellent customer service.
- How to get your website to rank number 1 on Google search. 
- Writing and publishing our first blog post.
- Elevator and business pitches
