All cactus need full sun and not much water, right? Actually, that's not necessarily true. Each species requires their own special care for them to thrive in their environment and I can not wait to share my passion and knowledge on each one of them with you!

Although this is an art class, we will take the learning a little further by creating a collage style notebook. Plant science and art coming together to create a beautiful keepsake of knowledge and art. All of the information for the cactus or succulent we will be discussing is provided in an attachment file that I created and you will print and cut and paste into your art journal. This way learners will not have to write the information but instead design their own creative journal entry while we discuss the information.

At the beginning of class I will guide the learners in developing a unique collage style journal entry on the cactus of the week. This will be packed with information, doodles and sketches to make it their own. After that, we will focus on creating a line drawing of the cactus using watercolor with ink details to bring it to life!

*In my classes I love to dedicate the first few minutes to visiting as a class. If your learner is more comfortable using the chat box, then that’s perfect too!  I like how this sets the tone for our time together, helping those that might be a little nervous or new to virtual learning. It helps create that supportive and welcoming space to create.
