My degrees are in Psychology and Mental Health Counseling. I have done therapy for over 10 years and been a teacher for over 20. In addition to the many Psychology classes I taught, I have taught life skills classes that covered such topics as study skills, time management, stress management, healthy communication, healthy sleep and nutrition habits and self-esteem.
The teacher will provide hand-outs.
This class is an educational based class and the topic of low self-esteem is a common issue with teens so it may trigger some sharing of personal feelings but it is not meant in any way to be a "counseling" session. I am also okay if learners are not comfortable speaking out loud or want to keep their cameras off as I will be utilizing a powerpoint and hand-outs to provide information that I hope will be useful in their quest to acquire a healthy self-esteem.
