Students will learn expert tips for building a campfire
I am a Certified Wilderness First Responder through the company Remote Medical Training. This has certified me to address medical emergencies in remote settings. I've taught wilderness survival to a countless number of kids since 2015. I've led wilderness survival/bushcraft camps with the company Coyle Outside in Oregon. I've guided wilderness backpacking and canoe trips through Camp Kooch-I-Ching in Minnesota.
Fire safety is fundamental to learning this skill. We will cover helpful habits for safe fire-tending. We will not be starting any fires in class. Learners are advised to practice fire-making with the guidance of an adult.
