Hello Outschool Families!

My name is Dani Schreffler, and I am incredibly excited to work with you and your children! Teaching is my passion, and I am dedicated to helping young learners build a strong educational foundation in reading and math.

I am currently pursuing my degree in Elementary Education and have spent the last two years working as an Educational Assistant in a kindergarten classroom. During this time, I worked closely with small groups of students in ELA (English Language Arts) and Math, helping them grow and thrive under the guidance of a licensed teacher. This hands-on experience has deepened my love for teaching and given me the tools to tailor my instruction to meet each child’s unique learning needs.

Before transitioning into education, I proudly served in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman and Education Training Officer. In this role, I was responsible for training and preparing sailors for advancement exams, ensuring high passing rates, and fostering a positive learning environment. This experience taught me invaluable skills in patience, adaptability, and mentorship, which I now bring into my teaching practice.

As a first-generation American who grew up in Los Angeles, I understand firsthand the challenges that can come with learning a new language or navigating the education system. I am a native Spanish speaker and hold a TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certificate, allowing me to effectively support students from diverse language backgrounds.

In my classes, I strive to make learning fun, engaging, and interactive. I believe that children learn best when they are excited and involved, so I design my lessons to be both educational and entertaining. My goal is to build your child’s confidence and academic skills while fostering a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.

I am passionate about ensuring that every child has access to quality education, and I would love nothing more than to be a part of your child’s educational journey. Whether it’s helping them master their reading and math skills or preparing them for future academic success, I am here to support and encourage them every step of the way.
