Every 2 weeks, we'll discuss a new movie musical and discuss: - Storytelling Through Song: How songs drive the plot and reveal character motivations. - Behind-the-Scenes Magic: Exploring costumes, sets, lighting, and special effects. - Choreography and Movement: How dance enhances storytelling. - Themes and Messages: What movie musicals teach us about life, love, and friendship. - Cultural and Historical Context: Understanding the time and place of each musical. - Audience Connection: Why certain musicals resonate across generations. Classes are structured to encourage active participation and creativity. Each session begins with a brief overview of the week’s movie musical, followed by guided questions, interactive activities, and collaborative discussions.
