Together we will read and discuss Emily of New Moon. This is the first book of the Emily trilogy by Lucy Maud Mongomery. Class 1- Chapters 1-10 Topics of discussion to includes Emily's life with her father, her new relatives and her transition to a new life Class 2- We will discuss her Emily's new friends and how she reacts to certain situations. We will also discuss empathy and helpful behaviors as we look at how we could help others in similar situations. Class 3- We will look at some new characters introduced into Emily's life. We will also compare Emily's holidays and fashions to those in our own lives. Class 4- We will cover changes in Emily's life and her role in those changes. We will also discuss some of the things that make Emily special. Finally, we will share our thoughts on this book, what we think will happen in future books and whether we are interested in reading this book.
