What book lover doesn’t dream of magically transporting inside the pages of a storybook! Now, thanks to this delightful series, we can! Join us for this magical book club about the magic of books! During this 7 week class, we will meet to discuss and revel in the mystery and enchantment of book five in the Pages & Co series by Anna James, The Treehouse Library! Milo Bolt is ready to be the hero of his own story. With Uncle Horatio trapped in an enchanted sleep by the power-hungry Alchemist, he sets off with his new friend Alessia to find a cure. As they search for clues, the pair find themselves at the magical treehouse—home of the Botanist, the Alchemist’s sworn enemy. In their hunt for the cure, Milo and Alessia must forage in the Secret Garden, challenge Robin Hood, and confront the mighty Jabberwock. Will they find the cure and help Uncle Horatio before it’s too late? During class time, full participation in class discussion is expected. There is grace for a shy student, of course, but students will be encouraged to dive into the discussion as they acclimate to the group. Each student will have a turn to share their thoughts and ideas. I will have questions and discussion prompts ready each week, should conversation lag. After our discussion time, we will end with a game if time permits! My book clubs are typically highly engaging, highly interactive, very lively! Chapters will be assigned to be read ahead of time, before class. There are 43 chapters in this book. All of class time will be dedicated to discussing the books, character studies, guessing what happens next, and ending with fun games related to the book. Our last class will be a book party!
