生物学: 一般/AP/IB 個人指導 - 2 時間のセッション

This (private ongoing) one-on-one tutoring class is designed to provide homework assistance, test preparation, or enrichment.  Sessions are designed around the student's need and instruction follows the student's textbook.  

General High School Biology topics covered include:
Unit 1: From Molecules to Organisms: Structures and Processes (atoms, cells, osmosis and diffusion)
Unit 2: Heredity: Inheritance and Variation of Traits (i.e. Punnett squares, transcription, translation)
Unit 3: Evolution and Diversity (i.e. competition, natural selection)
Unit 4: Ecosystems: Interactions, Energy, and Dynamics (i.e. flow of energy, biomes) 

AP Biology topics covered include:
Topic 1: Chemistry of Life
Topic 2: Cell Structure and Function
Topic 3: Cell Energetics 
Topic 4: Cell Cycle
Topic 5: Heredity
Topic 6: Gene Expression and Regulation
Topic 7: Natural Selection

Your child may have been impacted by the changes in educational delivery which resulted in learning delays or gaps that make it difficult to keep up in class.  My passion is to identify problem areas and provide simplistic instruction to get your child back on track.  I am patient and have experience working with students at the middle-school, high-school, college, and university level.  

We work as a team to improve your child's grades and/or help them to get ahead.  Detailed feedback can be provided to the parent at their request. To be successful, my preference is to communicate with the parent to develop an effective tutoring plan.  Previous exams, topics covered in the class, and if possible, a class syllabus are useful in personalizing the plan.
